Dr. Timothy Beckett has been practicing anesthesiology in the Las Vegas area since 2003. A native Texan, Dr. Beckett received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995, and his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio in 1999. Dr. Beckett then attended the University of Michigan for his anesthesiology residency, and served as Chief Resident during his final year there.

In 2008, Dr. Beckett and his partner formed Valley Anesthesiology Consultants, a thriving anesthesiology group now comprised of 16 physicians. Concurrently, Dr. Beckett and his partner created Recovery Specialists of Nevada, a medical company that helped patients overcome their addiction to pain medication and heroin through Anesthesia Facilitated Ultra-Rapid Opioid Detoxification.

Dr. Beckett currently serves as Medical Director of Stonecreek Surgery Center. He is also the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology for Southern Hills Hospital. He is a Clinical Faculty Supervisor and Adjunct Professor for Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

He currently serves on the National Physicians’ Speaker Bureau for I-Flow Corporation where he teaches modern techniques for the placement of continuous peripheral nerve blocks for post-operative pain management following major orthopedic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Beckett serves on the Speakers’ Bureau for Cubist Pharmaceuticals, where he teaches the use of Alvimopan in the prevention of post-operative ileus following bowel surgery. He also serves as an examiner for Anesthesiology Consultants, a nationally recognized company which prepares anesthesiologists for their written and oral board examinations.

Dr. Beckett’s passion outside of work includes mentoring teenagers. He has turned this passion into a mission by forming The GOTO (Giving Our Teens Opportunities) Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization which, through its partnership with Vegas Youth Ambassadors, aims to mentor, strengthen, and empower youth to be leaders and make differences in the world through community outreach.

His organizational affiliations include The American Society of Anesthesiologists, The American Society of Addiction Medicine, The American Medical Association, The Nevada State Society of Anesthesiologists, The Nevada State Medical Association, and The Clark County Medical Society.

Tim is married to Madelaine Beckett, with two daughters, Amira and Anisa, ages 10 and 12.
